Many people live with visible leg
veins, which make them feel embarrassed to wear
shorts, skirts, and swimsuits. In the past, this
problem could only be solved through painful
procedures and surgery, but those days are
mercifully over. We offer a more comfortable and
effective leg vein treatment. Its non-invasive laser
pulses cause unsightly vessels to fade from view in
a few treatments or less. We also offer excellent
clearance of spider veins on the face and other body
areas. |

What type of lesions can the vascular laser
treat? |
|
| |
Vascular Laser Therapy allows for
safe, effective treatment of broken, dilated and
unsightly leg veins, facial spider veins, birth
marks such as hemangiomas and port wine stains, as
well as Rosacea and other unwanted vascular lesions
such as cherry angiomas or red spots which can
appear anywhere on the body. |

up to 3.5mm in
size can be completely removed with the use of
laser. The laser treats these vessels
noninvasively and without the use of painful
needles. Recent laser vein therapy has been
found to be the most effective method to treat
this condition
Facial Spider Veins is a
common ailment that makes your complexion appear
to be red. While this condition is typically
hereditary, it also can be caused by excessive
sun exposure or by certain medications.
Treatment with laser usually involves two to
three treatments and there is no down time.
Port-wine Stains is a
condition where the skin is purple or red
(usually from birth). This condition is now
treated using laser to gradually reduce the
lesion until it completely is gone. Minor pain
combined with no downtime has made this the most
effective laser therapy available.
Hemangioma/Angioma’s
are small, red spots that can appear anywhere on
the body. Using a deeper penetrating laser these
spots can be removed in one to two sessions. The
lesions can be treated in adults as well as
infants with congenital hemangiomas.

F.A.Q.'s |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Q: How does
the laser leg vein treatment work? |
|
| |
A: Lasers deliver concentrated light
in a specific wavelength of the spectrum. Each
wavelength is absorbed by a different target, such
as pigment, blood, or water. The handpiece delivers
light pulses which are ideal for targeting leg
veins. The light pulses heat the blood within the
leg vein. The heat of the blood affects the vessel
lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and
fade from view. |

|
| |
Q: What are
laser leg vein treatments like? What should I expect
after treatment? |
|
| |
A: Your treatment provider will move
the handpiece over your skin, pulsing it all the
while. Each pulse will send a beam of light through
the skin. A flashing light, an audible tone, and a
mild sensation on the skin will tell you when the
handpiece is being pulsed.
Immediately after treatment you will
see any of these three possible outcomes: the
vessels will disappear, the vessels will darken, or
the vessels will shrink. The surrounding skinmay
turn pink and be slightly swollen for up to 24
hours. Often more than one treatment is necessary to
achieve full clearance of leg veins. |

|
| |
Q: Are these
treatments safe? Are they painful? |
|
| |
A: Your provider will go over the
risks and benefits of treatment with you. Leg vein
treatments are skin-safe & comfortable. The
handpiece delivers its energy in one smooth, gentle
pulse, to protect the skin from a sharp rise in
temperature. In addition, a chilled water supply
runs through the handpiece, down to its tip. Since
the handpiece tip is in contact with the skin during
treatment, your skin is continually cooled, so that
you feel little heat from the laser pulses. |

Q:
What should I expect after treatment? |
|
| |
A: You may experience lingering
warmth, tightness, or redness in the treated area,
which fades within a few hours of treatment. Because
so much of the skin is unaffected by the light
pulses, there is a quick healing process. Generally,
you can receive a treatment and go back to work or
to other activities without any recovery time. A
series of treatments at 4-6 week intervals may be
required to achieve the desired result of smoother,
tighter skin in the face, arms, abdomen & other
areas. Your treatment provider will be able to give
you more information about treatments and expected
results. |
